Marshall Clark Causey, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home early Monday morning, March 11, 2019. Visitation for Mr. Causey will be held on Sunday, March 17th, at 1:00 p.m. with the memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, with Pastor Joe McElrath officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road. Mr. Causey was born in Greensboro, NC on December 26th, 1942 to Fletcher Buchanan Causey and M. Blonnie Scoggin Causey. Mr. Causey was iron-willed yet gold hearted in every aspect of his life. Left behind to treasure the memories and the life he made for all of his loved ones are his three children: Mark C. Causey, Amy Causey Lett, Christopher C. Causey; his eight grandchildren; his nine great grandchildren; his three brothers and sister: Donald Causey, Sandra Dix, Larry Causey, and Roger Causey, along with extended family members and loved ones. Memorial contributions in Clark’s memory may be made to Cathedral of Faith Christian Center, 7200 Summerfield Road, Summerfield, NC 27358 or to the American Heart Association, 7029 Albert Pick Road, Suite 200, Greensboro, NC 27409.

Clark and I were high school football teammates at Bessemer High School. I remember him as a quiet, tough guy. We attended some class reunions and it was always good to see him. He was a fine person.

I worked with Clark (superman) at the post office. He was a great man and a friend to everyone. The community has suffered a great loss. Prayers for the family.
