Ms. Martha A. Goins

Martha Goins was born November 22, 1948 to Juanita H. Cook in Danville, VA. She was a loving mother and the best nana in the world to her grandchildren. She was also an avid Duke Fan, enjoyed walking and listening to country music. Ms. Goins was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

A service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Chapel N. Elm Street. Burial will occur at Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 where she will be laid to rest with her son Robert Ayers.

Ms. Goins was predeceased in death by her daughter, Tiffany McGinnis; and son Robert Ayers.

Ms. Goins is survived by her mother, Juanita H. Cook of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Angela J. Smithey and husband Jason of McLeansville, NC; sister, Sandra Baker of Greensboro, NC; father, Basil Ayers of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Casey, Tori, Luke, and Ryan McGinnis of Kansas and Faith and Grant Smithey of McLeansville, NC; nephew, Chris McBride and wife Katie of Greensboro.

Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Street.

Officiating over the service will be Bill Gibson of Faith Walk in Gibsonville, NC.
