Mary "Jackie" Jacqueline Barnes

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Entombment will immediately follow in the Sedgefield Mausoleum in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, located directly behind the funeral home. The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the funeral service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born December 18, 1933 in Guilford County to the late Charles G. Ferguson and Mary Katherine Hedrick Ferguson, Jackie was of the Christian faith. She was a long-time member of Mountlieu Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Jackie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and homemaker who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Barnes; husband, Bill Doutt; son, Randy Barnes; and sister, Louise Farrington.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vicki Campbell; grandchildren, Jason Bain and Lindsay Schwob; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jaelyn, Madison, Liam, Caleb, Jackson and Stella; and her childhood friend of 80 years, Jewel Sikes.
