Mary Darden Miller

Born in 1940 in Stantonsburg, NC, Mary attended Stratford College and then worked as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. She spent the early years of marriage raising children in Jackson, Mississippi and Birmingham, Alabama before moving to Richmond, Virginia. She moved to Greensboro in 1992, and worked primarily as a retail buyer.

She put an emphasis on grace and manners, and passed along her love of cooking and enjoying a good cocktail to her children.

She is survived by her three children, Darden Kelly (Steve), Anne Douglas Miller and Van Miller (Marsha), and four granddaughters, Alex and Lauren Miller, Eliza Trotter, and Ava Miller.

Funeral Services at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro at 2 p.m. on Friday July 15.
