Mary Kay Roberts

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary “Kay” Roberts, who entered eternal peace on March 29, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by her daughters.

Kay was born on November 9, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and later retired as a proofreader from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Victoria Palmertree (Kenneth) and Cristine Burfeind (John); her grandchildren, Zachary (Hannah), Suzanne (Eric), Andrew, Evan, and Ryan; and her siblings, Michael Timmons, Ann Naquin, and Susan Timmons. She was preceded in death by her father, William Timmons; her mother, Mary Dorsey; her brother, Patrick Timmons; and her nephew, Jason Timmons.

Kay possessed a timeless sense of style and took great pride in her appearance. No matter where she was going, she was always perfectly put together—embodying a classic sophistication that never went out of fashion. Kay was a woman of beauty, poise, and unwavering love for her family. She always made time for her daughters’ needs and taught them that how you present yourself matters, even as the world has grown more casual. Kay loved her daughters fiercely, and while she believed nothing was ever quite good enough for them, she embraced the spouses they chose as if they were her own.

Mom – we will miss you dearly and are grateful your passing was painless and brief – we love you! Until we see you again….
