He attended Soutwest High School and got his GED from GTCC. While at GTCC Matthew enrolled in classes that he was able to become a skilled machinist. After graduating from GTCC, he worked in the area.
At the time of his passing, Matthew worked with Haeco Americas and Cabin Solutions in Greensboro. He loved to cook and enjoyed hot sauces of various types and kinds. He shared with his friends each new taste that he found. Like many of his friends, he loved computer gaming.
Even though Matthew's life has ended, the caring person that he was, others lives will continue because Matthew chose to be an Organ Donor.
His was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J.W. and Betty Lawson and paternal grandparents, Claude and Polly Davis.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Ann and Danny Davis of Jamestown and his brother, Daniel Brent Davis of Thomasville.
A Celebration of Life Service for Matthew will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday February 9, 2024 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel officiated by the Reverend Newton Cowan. The family will receive friends following the service
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the local animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
