I met Mike back in the early 90’s with False Prophet. Always had a smile on his face, and that laugh, glad I got to hear that laugh a last time a few days before his passing. A great friend that is already missed, all the videos, music, memes and swapping recipes and talking food, phone calls and plenty of butt dials too. After years of being out of touch the friendship never skipped a beat, lots of fun times with Prophet years ago that we laughed about over and over. He was a great friend gone way too soon. Love ya brother see ya on the other side.

I met Mikey back in late 1998 after a show. Became fast friends and then best friends. He literally gave me the shirt off his back..more than once. Gave me a place to sleep on occasion (usually before and after gigs with bushhogg) and plenty of meals. He's the first person I saw after joining the army, woke him up bright and early which he wasn't too happy about..lol. Went on the road together with bushhogg and cowboy all the way to New York right after 9-11. What a trip! I'm grateful for every second I got to spend with MFM. I'll be kickin ass in Louisville in September in your honor brotha. Much love Mikey.. I'm gonna miss you till we meet again. The Grape Ape

Ohhhh Michael...
You were humor, belly laughs, goodness, kindness and devotion to ur family, friends and a connoisseur of music. I’ve known u for several years and it didn’t matter if it were a day or a year, we picked up right where we left off.
I told u once u were a cross between a teddy bear and a Viking warrior with that gorgeous hair. We laughed and laughed.
We shared much at 2-3am thru memes, life and music. U helped me thru one of the darkest periods of my life for the last couple of years.
I shared once the song:
Old Friends by Chris Stapleton
U wrote back
Yeah, that’s a classic...
No, my friend
you were a classic.
There’s not a day that you won’t be in my thoughts...
We down here we miss u greatly...
Until.

I've been friends with Mike since Ragsdale High School. We shared many an adventure together & I loved him like a brother. Mike was a good, passionate, creative and generous person. He loved his friends & family fiercely & wanted to protect everyone. I know he was struggling for a long time in caring for his father & some physical issues and can only hope & pray that he is in Heaven, in no pain & surrounded by beautiful women. RIP Mikey. Love you, brother.
