

He was born Nov.25, 1951 to William and Mary Gwendolyn (Mackreth) Moulden in Bethesda, Maryland.
A graduate of Guilford College and Sewanee: The University of the South, he was an ordained Episcopal priest for 39 years. He served parishioners and churches in Tennessee, S. Carolina, Florida and most recently at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Greensboro, N.C.
He is survived by his loving wife Laura, of Greensboro; son, Ben of California; daughter, Becca of Jacksonville Fla. ; brother, Ray and his wife, Regina of Grand Rapids MI., cousins, Anne Edwards and Lizzie Casagrande of Alexandria, Va.
Father Michael was admired for his joie de vivre and remarkable connection to young people. He was compassionate and caring towards all. Father Michael held a special place in his heart for his family.
He had a strong love for knowledge and was well versed in Latin. He was known for his wit, infectious and gregarious laugh, and his love of the outdoors. He was an avid runner and ran 8 marathons. He hiked extensively in the Appalachian and Rocky mountains. He was a fighter, warrior and champion until the end. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6 2018, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3506 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408, followed by a gathering of family and friends at the church.
