

A memorial service will be held at Well Spring Retirement Community Auditorium on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 am with Dr. John Kimmons, Rev. John Akers, and Rev. John Bletch participating.
Miller was born October 10, 1922, son of Coy C. Angel and Mattie Cummings Angel. He graduated from Stokesdale High and attended Guilford College. He served in the US Army during World War II and spent most of his time in North Africa and Italy. He was discharged from the Army and started a career with Sears Roebuck Company. After a ten year career with Sears, he joined Blue Bell Company and later retired as Vice President, Women’s Wear Division.
Miller enjoyed golf, fishing and traveling with his wife, Nancy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Hampton Angel.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Brooks Angel; three stepdaughters, Leah Brooks Merritt, Lydia Brooks Whiteside, Andrea Brooks Priede and husband Troy; eight step grandchildren, Karen Merritt Little, Andrea Merritt, Ashley Merritt, Brooks Whiteside, Bill Whiteside, Christine Priede, Becca Priede and Justin Priede; and great grandson Haynes Little.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Well Spring Retirement Community Skilled Care, 4100 Wildflower Drive, Greensboro, NC 27410 or to the Christ United Methodist Church, 410 N. Holden Road Greensboro, NC 27410 in his honor.
