For the past couple of days I just had the feeling when I got in touch with my dear old friend I wanted to hear that "hey Baby" [that was her sign on] when she would answer the phone. Even though I left NC in 1987 we remained in touch for all these years. What an incredible spirited woman always positive and a force in so many people's lives. I recieved a card at Chritmas and leanned of her fight with cancer and with true Mitzi style she always found a way to take the challlange head on. I will truley miss my friend because there is no one who will replace her grace and style.

My heart aches as I miss Mitzi. So many memories that will last a lifetime. Camping, dancing, aerobics, parties, laughing, losing and finding love... and most recently worshipping together this last year has been such a blessing. Mitzi will be missed by many forever, but what a legacy she has left behind. Holding Becca and the Rice family in prayer as we all say goodbye.
