Nadene Owen Boyd

Nadene will be remembered as a devoted mother whose care was expressed in the everyday ways that matter most. A wonderful cook, she made sure her children were well fed and well cared for—always with good food and good shoes. Her love and role as a mother will always be irreplaceable. Faith remained a steady presence throughout Nadene’s life. She enjoyed going to church on Sundays, and later in life, when she was unable to attend regularly, she could often be found listening to a Sunday sermon.

Nadene was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Debora Euliss (Jimmy), Rodney Padgett, and Darrin Padgett; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three sisters, Peggy, Betty, and Nancy.

A Funeral Service will be held at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel on Wednesday July 8th at 10:00 am with visitation 1 hour prior. A Committal Service will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O.Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Moses Cone Hospital and especially Rachel for their care and kindness.
