Nancy was born on April 16, 1930 in Hartford, CT, a daughter to the late James Gillette Moore and Muriel Armstrong Moore. She was an accomplished musician who enjoyed singing, playing piano, and alongside her husband, sang in the opera chorus for the Greensboro and Winston-Salem Operas. After raising her family, she went to work at Ciba-Geigy and had been a proud resident of Pennybyrn at Maryfield for the last seven years.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Moore.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Caruso of the home; three children, Gina Caruso of Niwot, CO, Michael Caruso of High Point, and John Caruso of Jamestown; and two grandchildren, Ashley Jones and Luke Caruso-Thompson.
A memorial service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 2 in the chapel of Pennybyrn at Maryfield. A private inurnment will be held in the Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
