The family will have private services at a later date. ABWA has established a scholarship in memory of Nancy to be awarded at the end of the year.

The Turner family is sad to hear about Nancy. We were shocked to hear about it.

I first met Nini when I taught her godson at Sedgefield, GSO. Nini was an exceptional woman and she touched the heart of many and will live on in those cherished memories! She welcomed me into her life with open arms, love and laughter! I miss you Nini! Forever in my heart!

Nancy and I had similar personality traits and shared a love or laughter to the point of tears running down our legs. Like everyone who loves her, I have been beyond sadness and disbelief. I am heart broken for all of us. My hearts and prayers and hugs to her husband, son and daughter-in-law and extended family. To her ABWA Sisters across the nation - HEARTS UP - I love you all. RIP my sweet friend. I will miss you so.

Dave, David and Allison....Words can't describe how much I loved "Ma' Nancy" and will miss her. I will always cherish the memories I have of our late night coffee while solving the world's problems, her encouragement, her laughter and smile and her waving from her porch to my deck....I could go on forever....She was a remarkable person and I am blessed to be able to say that she was a part of my life.

Nancy was one of my mother's (also named Nancy) dearest friends and she became a wonderful mentor to me through ABWA. She was my little firecracker mama. Keep that fiery spunk going and get into some trouble for me.
