Nola Doll Johnson Nixon

Nola was born June 6, 1924 in Wilkes County, NC, daughter of the late Columbus James Johnson and Dorothy Love Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Hugh C. Nixon, son, Ronald D. Nixon, four brothers and three sisters.

Nola is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Dave Poole of Midland, grandchildren, Justin (Beth) Nixon and Jeremy (Leslie) Nixon of Greensboro, and Ronald Nixon Jr., great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Kendra Nixon of Greensboro, sisters Betty (Bill) Withers of Greensboro and Geraldean Frye of Wilkesboro, brothers Doug (Geneva) Johnson, Jesse (LaVaughn) Johnson, and Larry (Terry) Johnson all of North Wilkesboro, step-mother, Sylvia Johnson of North Wilkesboro, and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

Visitation will be held at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC at 10:00am on Tuesday June 5, 2012 followed by a graveside service at 11:00am at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC.
