Ophelia “Phil” Hogan, 84, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Bellevue Nursing Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Rev. John Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Ophelia worked at Kerr’s Department Store in Oklahoma City and on September 4, 1947 married Jerry Hogan. Following their marriage, she was an “Army Wife” and followed her husband wherever his military career led them.
Ophelia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ross Rodriquez and sister, Bea Willett. Surviving is her brother, Al Rodriguez and wife Carol of Oklahoma City; son, Mike Hogan of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Sandy Allender and husband Dan of Greensboro, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kim Stroh and husband Chris, Jeff Hogan and wife Melisa; great grandchildren; Katherine and Sydney Stroh, Kalen, Sarah, Kai and Kinsley Hogan.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
