Pamela Brown

Passed away on MAY 31, 2026
Obituary of Pamela Brown
IN THE CARE OF

Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home

Pamela Perkson Brown, 80, of Greensboro, NC, passed away quietly on May 31, 2026, in Clemson, SC, after suffering from dementia.

Pam was born on August 8, 1945, to Howard and Rena Perkson in Louisville, KY.

After graduating from Michigan State, Pam taught middle school in Massachusetts before settling in Greensboro, NC, where she raised two sons whose talent, craft, and know-how can be attributed to her dedicated support as a mother. Pam was a proud member of the DAR, the Junior League, and her local garden club. A lover of butter, sugar, antiques, and annual trips to the beach, Pam also had a big heart for any underdogs and all abandoned cats. No one made light of life more than Pam, with her masterful storytelling, contagious laugh, and elaborate practical jokes. Later, when her sons were grown with kids of their own, it was “Grammy Pammy” who knit an abundance of tiny sweaters and shipped mountains of boxes full of secondhand clothes to her grandbabies, grandnieces, and grandnephew. A connoisseur of news and numbers (she got a second degree in accounting at Greensboro College), Pam was as much informed as she was insightful, and her deep sense of curiosity lives on through her boys.

Pam is survived by her sons Logan (Maria) and Nic (Abby); her grandchildren, Frances and Hudson; nieces Amy and Holly, and nephew, Quinn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rena (Quinn) Perkson, her father, Howard N. Perkson, her beloved stepfather, John H. Dillon, and her brother, Howard N. Perkson, JR, who once shot Pam with a BB gun and got away with it.
