Pam was born in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late Edward DeAngelis (Rosie) and Carolyn Bacon, and granddaughter of the late Earl Bacon and Pearl Iris Buckner Bacon. She received both a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a law degree from the University of Georgia before moving to Greensboro to begin her law career. At UGA, she was Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate student. In law school, she was an editor of the law review and was awarded the prestigious Palsgraf Person award. She credits much of her accomplished career as a real estate lawyer to the many mentors she was fortunate to have at Smith Moore and Schell Bray Aycock Abel & Livingston. Her joys in life were her family, her many wonderful friends, reading, yoga, and travel. She had an infectious and warm personality with a welcoming smile. Her friends at home and around the world cherished her quick wit, generosity, and loving spirit.
Family and friends will honor and remember Pam’s life by gathering for calling hours at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home (515 N Elm St, Greensboro) on Monday, September 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church (3906 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro). A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity about which you are passionate. Some of her favorite causes included Tunnels to Towers (2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306) as well as many organizations that worked to create better lives for children and animals in need in our community.
