Pat received her BA from the University of the South, Sewanee TN in 1978, MPA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1984, and her MDiv from Wake Forest University Divinity School, Winston Salem in 2015. She worked for the City of Virginia Beach from 1984 to 1986, and the City of Greensboro from 1986 to 2012.
Pat was a longtime member and minister for Pastoral Care for Congregational United Church of Christ in Greensboro, President of the Board of the North Carolina Council of Churches and a member of the Valley Crucis Women Writers.
In addition to her parents, Rev. Boswell was preceded in death by her brothers, John Eastburn Boswell and Henry Boswell, III. She is survived by her husband, William Glenn McDaniel of Greensboro and her brother, Wray Boswell, Mancos, CO.
A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 27, at Congregational United Church of Christ, 400 West Radiance Road, Greensboro, NC. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the church.
