Patricia Ann Grose

Patricia Ann Grose, 90 of Greensboro, NC went to meet her Lord and Savior peacefully at home on Monday July 20, 2026. Pat was born on November 10, 1935, in Preston County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Virginia Herring.

Pat worked at Ciba prior to her retirement. Her greatest joy was her family. Nothing lit up her smile more than seeing her grandchildren or her great-grandchildren. She loved music, whether it was singing in the church choir at Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member for 60+ years, or at someone’s birthday party and if she was home alone and you came over most of the time, she had music playing. She loved spending time just sitting on the beach and was always ready to go back home and visit family and classmates in West Virginia. Her greatest past time at home was working on her flowers, she always had something blooming in her yard.

She is survived by her loving children: Tyler Grose (Renate), Karen Whitman (Walt) and Laura Wall. Her loving grandchildren: Brandon Grose (Tucker), Bradley Hight (Ashley), Heather Paschal (Thomas), Brittany Hendricks (Roman), Caitlin Hunkler (Chad). Her precious 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by a brother Bill Herring.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407 with the funeral starting at 11:00 AM. Committal will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Kay Montague with Griswold Home Care for her loving care of our mom for several years, and to Georgia and the entire Hospice of the Piedmont team for their truly loving care and support in her last week.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or The Alzheimer's Foundation.
