“ Patricia “Patti” Maureen Horan, 70, a resident of Greensboro, passed away on Thursday September 24, 2026. She was born June 21, 1956, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Robert and Patricia Adeline Murray Baker.
Patti grew up in Levittown, PA and was a graduate of Penn State University. After earning her BS in Animal Husbandry,she moved to Kansas and worked on a pig farm for Dekalb Swine Breeders.
She moved to Greensboro, NC in 1996, from Levittown, eventually becoming the Director of Head Start Services in three counties.
Patti’s favorite place was the Jersey Shore and spent every summer with her children on the beach. Her favorite hobbies included playing pickleball and joining her friends for a glass of wine. Patti was beloved by her family and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, GPD Officer Michael “Mike” Horan and her brother, Kevin Baker.
Patti is survived by her daughter, Maureen Patricia Horan of Greensboro; her sister, Sarah Baker of Georgetown, Delaware and her granddaughter, Kayla Horan of North Arlington, New Jersey.
