Patricia "Patti" Whalen

After a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Patti passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Beacon Place Hospice. A memorial mass will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Patti was born August 12, 1941, in New York City, NY to the late Dorothy Miller and Owen Devine. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whalen was preceded in death by her step-father, Ray C. Miller and her sister, Frances Connors. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel of the home; her children, Patricia Wright and husband Bill of Murfreesboro, TN, Daniel Whalen and wife Kim of Asheville, NC, Kerrin Hunter and husband Matt of High Point, NC, Tara Henderlite and husband Aaron of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Madison, Patrick, Elizabeth, Logan, Mary Grace, Sophie, Owen, Davis, Meghan, and Brady and her brother, Brian Devine and his wife Maureen of New York City, NY. The family wishes to thank the staff of Beacon Place for their care and sensitivity given to Patti while in their care.
