A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church, 314 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC 27410. A reception will follow at the church.
Patsy was born April 28, 1952 in Asheboro, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Talley Smothers.
Patsy was a graduate of Asheboro High School and Elon University. She owned and operated Cardinal Child Care for 18 years, and enjoyed the friendships made for the rest of her life. Patsy was a member of Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and cooking Italian cuisine. She will be remembered for her story telling and her desire to advocate for the less fortunate. Most of all, Patsy loved her family.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Cucinella.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sarah McDaniel and husband David of Denver, CO; son, Padraic Cucinella of Boca Raton, FL; brother, Tony Smothers of Orlando, FL, and her grandchildren, Elliott and Joel McDaniel.
