

Paul was born to George P. Plowe and Hattie Poste on September 15th, 1941 and lived a life shaped by family, steady routines, and appreciation for the world around him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rinehart Plowe; his parents; his sisters Carolyn Miles, Imogene Mertz, and Katherine Fay Plowe; and his brothers George “Sonny” Plowe, Frederick “Glen” Plowe, and Richard “Dick” Plowe.
He is survived by his sister, Verna Reckahn of Gainesville, NY; his sons, Larry Plowe of Cocoa, FL, and Philip (Susan) Plowe of Hilton, NY; his daughters, Diane (David) Snider of High Point, NC, and Darcy Watson of Greensboro, NC, his only granddaughter, Elizabeth Banty (Connor Carlin) of Jamestown, NC; and Dorothy Plowe, his former wife and friend.
Paul retired from Genesee Industrial Supply in Batavia, New York, where he worked for many years. In retirement, he enjoyed all aspects of nature, especially trees and checking his rain gauge. He had a strong interest in history, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and valued quiet evenings and familiar routines like his nightly toddy and feeding the dogs table scraps.
Above all, Paul cherished time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his kindness, and the care he showed to those around him.
A burial will take place on May 22, 2026, at Dale Cemetery in Dale, New York. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2026, with the location to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Foundation of America, in appreciation for the care and comfort provided during Paul’s final days.
