Pauline M. Moldovan, 96, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at Stratford Retirement Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point, NC. With Rev. Fr. Joseph C. Zuschmidt, O.S.F.S. officiating.
Pauline was born on April 18, 1914, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Czyz, in Shenandoah, PA. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Astoria, Queens, NY, where she was a member of the Funeral Choir, the Rosary Society, and a Golden Ager. Pauline worked with MetLife until her retirement.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Moldovan in 1964. Surviving is her children: Robert Moldovan of New Hampshire, Linda Burgio and husband Jim of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren; Russell Moldovan, Lisa Burgio Merrill, Jill Moldovan and Tara Burgio Wheelihan; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Sister Mary Stella and brother, Stanley Stefanowicz.
