Peggy E. Keaton

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday June 5, 2013, at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Rd. Her friend, Elder Lois Eller will conduct the service. The family will receive friends following the service.

She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and also a graduate of St. Leo’s School of Nursing in Greensboro. She was a loving and dedicated nurse for almost 50 years and was retired from Greensboro Medical Associates. She also volunteered an additional 10 years in the Cardiac Rehab of Cone Hospital. Peggy was a member of Spirit and Truth international Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Nonie Eaton; brothers, R.J and Clyde Eaton and sister, Mary Oliver. She is survived by her beloved son, James H. Keaton, Jr. and her dear special family member, Nina Abrams of the home. Also surviving are her sisters, Josephine Pell and Virginia Apple (Bill) of Greensboro, along with a number of nieces and nephews whom she always tried to spoil and protect.

A very special expression of great appreciation and thanks are extended to the staff and all of Peggy’s caregivers at Camden Place. Their kindness and love towards her will never be forgotten by her family.
