

Rachel C. Hoover, 95, of Greensboro, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Born on June 29, 1930, in Ellwood City, PA; she was the daughter of the late Christopher Alex and Katurah Wineman McLaughlin. She married Wallace Hoover on September 1, 1951. They were married for 44 years when he passed away in 1995.
Over her lifetime, Rachel held several positions in the workforce, most recently as a cashier at the Honey Baked Ham Company. She was a long-time member of Friendly Ave. Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Ray Alan Hoover; by two sisters, Louella Bookamer and Sara Campbell and three brothers; Clark, David and Robert McLaughlin Sr., all of Pennsylvania.
She is survived by 3 nephews and one niece; David Campbell, Daniel Campbell, Robert McLaughlin, Jr., and Brandie (Rick) Means; and several great nieces and nephews, all of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 23rd at the sanctuary in Friendly Ave Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
