Rachel Dooley Boyce Mann, 84, a resident of Burlington and former resident of Greensboro passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born July 30, 1934 in Roanoke, VA the daughter of Clyde Hammond and Ruby Thelma West Dooley.
Before retiring, Rachel owned and operated Mann and Mann Personnel Business in Greensboro. While living in Greensboro Rachel attended for many years Christ Fellowship Church and then later Trinity Church.
Rachel was married to Willard Samuel Boyce who preceded her in death. She later married Earl Dennis Mann who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenneth Ray Dooley and a grandson, Jeremy Ryan Smallwood.
Surviving are daughters; Sandra Boyce Hurley and husband Peter of High Point, Terri Boyce Clay and husband Stephen Fred Clay, II of Efland; son, Michael Hammond Boyce and wife Susan of Reidsville; grandchildren, Caleb Benjamin Smallwood and wife Jenn, Stephen Fred Clay, III, Christopher Robert Clay and great grandchildren, Zoey Smallwood and Ayla Smallwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend John Shields. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Rachel’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
