She was the daughter of the late Luther and Angelina Parker Wagoner and was preceded in death by her ten sisters and five brothers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Steven Wayne Trexler.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 65 years, Robert “Bobby” Trexler, many nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27407, with Pastor Jason Frank officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Rachel graduated from Ragsdale High School in 1960. She was employed by Burlington Industries, where she retired after about 25 years of service.
She was a member of Covenant Church United Methodist of High Point. For years she volunteered at the High Point Open Door shelter, feeding the homeless. She loved making crafts and baskets in her spare time. She also worked helping her husband in their family business, following her retirement. She enjoyed family trips to the Carolina beaches, as well as yearly family vacations to the Florida Gulf coast. Rachel also loved their vacations to Niagara falls.
