

He was born into a loving and Christian home on December 13, 1951. His parents were Randy and Angie Ensign. The family grew adding brother Tommy and sister Becky. He is survived by his sister Becky and brother-in-law Steve Sartore and his nephews Charles and Parker Sartore all of Greensboro NC.
Randy graduated from Grimsley High School in 1970. He was involved in the GSA (swimming), the Boy Scouts of America, member of Centenary United Methodist church, was involved in MYF, drove a school bus and was member of Interact Club. This club helped bring exchange students to Greensboro. His parents welcomed 3 students in their home during his high school years. Hans Emert (Germany) T Sanstrom (Sweden) and Anders Hokholt (Norway).
Randy joins his parents Randolph G Ensign, Angeline Ensign and brother James Thompson “Tommy” Ensign in heaven.
Randy worked at the Greensboro Daily News in the advertising department. He then joined the family business Ensco Supply Co which is grandfather and father began in 1948. He was Sales Manager for the Ranco division. Randy enjoyed travels across the United States and international from Hawaii to the Caribbean and Germany.
Randy enjoyed his family and friends, cooking, and had a generous spirit, loved skiing, sailing, hiking & fishing. He owned several dogs and cats and loved all animals. He had been gifted with artist talent.
The beach was his happy place. He was personable and had a wicked sense of humor enjoying a good laugh. He was a loving son, brother & bother-in law and uncle & cousin. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro on Wednesday September 23, at 3pm.
