Raymond was born to Raymond and Lila Dale Foster in Martinsville, VA. He has a degree in Computer Information Systems and worked as an aircraft mechanic and pilot. He was a member of Westover Church. He enjoyed working with computers.
He was predeceased by his parents and only child Raymond J. Foster, IV.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret Dickerson Foster; brother, Timothy Foster (Letitia) of Lincoln University, PA; nephews Tyler Foster (Heather) and their children and Andrew Foster ; brother-in-law Richard Dickerson (Nancy); and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date at Westover Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC 27410 or to Beacon Place 2501 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405 in honor of Raymond J. Foster, III.
