EVERY time I make cole slaw I remember watching Uncle Ray make it, and wonder why mine never tastes as good as his! He was warm and sweet and never talked to us like we were just kids. I smile when I remember all the wonderful times our families shared on the beach, at the club, & at each others homes! I can hear Dot, Bill, Uncle Ray and Sis cracking each other up!! I send my love and sympathy to all the Gartelmanns. Fondly, Jane

To all the Gartelmann folks, I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I have so many good memories of him and Sis at "the club". Those were VERY good times. Both Ray and Sis were wonderful people. One of my last memories of the two were with my mom and them at their condo at IR. Even though I hadn't spent much time with either in many years, they were so comfortable to be with.I miss them both. You guys were lucky to have them for so long.
