Mrs. Rebecca Davidowitz, 96, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Well Spring Retirement Community following a brief illness. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery by Rabbi Joshua Bin-gideon. Rebecca was born December 3, 1921 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of Morris Lundy and Jennie Rachofsky Lundy. Rebecca was a member of Beth David Synagogue in Greensboro and Aetz Chayim Synagogue in Danville, VA. Rebecca was the co- owner of Ben David Jewelers in Danville, VA, along with her husband. In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Davidowitz. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Leon Davidowitz (Jackie) and Mark Davidowitz (Cheryl), all of Greensboro; sister, Fay Galperin of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Jordan, Julia, Jake and Jennie Davidowitz and Blaire McLanahan; great grandchildren, Maureece, Collin and Levi Davidowitz. The family requests with gratitude in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Rebecca’s name to the Greensboro Jewish Federation or Beth David Synagogue. Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel is assisting the Davidowitz family.
