Rebecca Cannady Hairr

Rebecca “Becky” Cannady Hair, 88, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. She was born May 23, 1933 in Sampson County to the late Herman and Lillian Cooper Cannady.

In addition to her parents, preceding Becky in death are her husband Carl Enoch Hairr, their son Carl Davis Hairr, her sisters, Lillian Belle Hobbs and Ruby Faircloth and her brother James Cannady.

Becky is survived by her sisters, June Dillon, and Martha Hayes; daughter, Cheryl Hairr Lewis of Reidsville; son-in-law Larry Dale Lewis of Greensboro and granddaughters, Kimberly Lewis Sutphin and husband Zachary, Kelly Rebecca Lewis and husband Dakota Vance, and Rebecca and Carl’s God-Child, Ashley Roberts Barker.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 at Guilford Memorial Park officiated by Reverend Dr. Jack Benzenhafer. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
