Richard was a graduate of Northeast Senior High School and John Wesley College. He participated in an elementary education course at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He served as a Teacher Assistant with Guilford County schools for twenty years.
He was a member of Beth David Synagogue.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. O'Henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC.
