Richard (Rich) Alan Smith

Rich was born on March 20, 1961, in Millville, New Jersey where he lived and went to school. He moved to Rockingham County in 1995. He worked as a Plumber’s Helper for years. He was always willing to help family and friends with projects around their homes.

Rich loved fishing and was his happiest with a rod in his hand and a fish on the hook. He loved music and playing drums. He enjoyed being with friends and family and talking about the “good old days,” lots of fun and laughter. Rich had a lot of very good friends that he was able to keep up with till the end. Talking with them was very uplifting for him. Rich also loved his cats. They were his “little buddies.”

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Smith, and Lillian Carter, and brother Don Smith and Dave Smith.

He is survived by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Smith, (Nancy), and Sister-in-Law, Sandy Smith, nieces, Allison Adler (Steve) and Erin Homiak (Jake), and his great nieces, Emily Grace Adler and Hannah Homiak and his great nephew, Joey Homiak.

Rich will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. We will miss his smile and laughter.
