

Ricky Bryan Williams, 51, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center. Ricky was born on August 18, 1962 in High Point, the son of Gerald “Jerry” and Virginia “Jenny” Goodman Williams. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1980 and studied electronic engineering technology at Davidson Community College.
Ricky was employed at Dudley Theatrical Company of Winston-Salem. He had also worked with Pointer Electric Supply, Triad Organ Service, Southern Lights Bistro, Strandberg Engineering Laboratories, and Analog Devices. He was a talented musican and scale modeler. He loved music, animals, and “The Andy Griffith Show.” Ricky was a loving son and brother and a gentle and generous friend who will be deeply missed by all.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his sister, Tammy Hill and husband McCoy of Walnut Cove, NC; aunts, Judy Pierce of Thomasville, NC and Georgia Osborne of Sparta, NC; numerous cousins and a wide group of loving friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel and a Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Ivan Siler will officiate, and music will be provided by Steve Poole.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Ricky’s memory. They would also like to thank the staffs of Wesley Long Hospital and the Duke Medical Center ICU, where Ricky received skilled and compassionate care.
