

Robert Clayton Bedingfield, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence. Clayton is now in the company of his loving wife Shirley who preceded him in death in 2001. Clayton was born in Laurens County, GA on November 5, 1935, the son of Robert Bisland and Fanny Burch Bedingfield. He served his country in the US Air Force. Following his military service, he was one of the co-founders of Computer Labs. Clayton was extremely creative and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved music, woodworking and painting.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons; Bob Bedingfield and wife Jeanne and Clay Bedingfield, all of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Minor and husband Casey, Katie Bedingfield, Andy Bedingfield and Sara Bedingfield; great grandchild, Jenna Minor; sister, Sandra Stuckey and husband Ted of Atlanta, GA.
A Celebration of Clayton’s life will be held on Saturday, January 10th, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 1300, Frisco, TX 75034.
