

Bob was born on July 3, 1934 in Detroit, MI to Roy and Lois Glass. After high school, Bob attended and graduated from Central Michigan University (1956) with a B.S. in Marketing. He entered into military service (Army) and served active duty from 1957-1959 where he was stationed for a time in Germany and drove military vehicles. Upon his honorable discharge from military service, he entered into a career in Sales/Marketing (including Kaiser-Roth/No nonsense hosiery) which spanned 30+ years and then turned to entrepreneurship with his own consulting firm and owning an office building with his wife Barbara Glass.
Bob spent most of his life in Greensboro, NC. He greatly enjoyed sporting activities (especially tennis) and was a voracious reader of the newspaper. He loved his family deeply and always looked forward to organizing activities when everyone was together.
Bob leaves behind his beloved dance partner and wife of 50 years, Barbara (Wisser) Glass; his sons Rob (Cynthia), Kirk, Gavin, Darin (Sarah), and Arin (Emily); his sister Sharon Glass Martin; grandchildren Paul (Haley), Andrew, Jordan, Lily, and Logan; great grandchildren Walker and Brooke; and extended family in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Lois and Roy Glass, his sister Dorothy Wendell and his brother Bill Glass.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 14, 2022 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
