

Robert (Bob) John Pullease was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on June 24, 1942, and passed on to his great reward on May 30, 2026. He was surrounded with his family with love and prayers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Jo Pullease; his brother, Don Pullease; and his nephew, Nicholas McComb.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy, stepson, John Slaughter (Jessica), stepdaughter, Laura Slaughter, sister, Geri McComb (Dr. John McComb), grandchildren, Jacob Slaughter and Summer Rae Slaughter, and niece, Jessica Hasty and husband Phil.
At the age of 18, Bob joined the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for 10 years. During his military career, he deployed to Vietnam for three tours of duty and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Following his military service, Bob began a career with AT&T, working as an international installer on government contracts. After transitioning from international assignments, he was stationed in Burlington, North Carolina. While attending Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, Bob met his wife, Dorothy. They were married for 37 years and shared a love of just being together.
In retirement, Bob treasured time spent in his workshop, where he crafted Christmas ornaments for family members and close friends. He also loved fly fishing with the flies he made himself. As many know, he wore his MacGregor kilt with pride and joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jamestown Presbyterian Church, Banner Elk Presbyterian Church, Tunnel to Towers, or Vietnam Veterans.
Funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026, Jamestown Presbyterian Church,1804 Guilford College Rd., Jamestown, NC 27282, with visitation one hour prior to service. Committal will follow at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City, Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
