It is with much sorrow that the family of Bobby Reams announces his passing on November 11, 2019 at Murdock Developmental Center, Butner, NC. Bobby was born August 2, 1955 in Greensboro, NC to the late Elizabeth Jones Reams and Charles Davis Reams. He is survived by his brothers, John Reams (Catherine) of Greensboro, NC and David Reams (Jane) of Surfside Beach, SC. He was the uncle to three nephews and one niece and great-uncle to six great-nephews and one great-niece.
Bobby lived an enjoyable life at an ARC Group Home in Jamestown, NC and then at Murdock Center. He loved music, dancing, road trips, Match Box cars, giving hugs, The Wizard of OZ and working at the Sheltered Workshops with his friends.
The family would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at Parkview Cottage (Murdock Center) for their many years of loving care for Bobby.
Bobby’s funeral service will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. There will be a visitation starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Bobby’s favorite color was red, so please free to wear red in his honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made payable to Murdock Developmental Center (Parkview Cottage).
