Robert Thomas Willis

Robert Thomas Willis, 72, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. He was born April 2, 1945 in Craven County the son of Lloyd Leon and Hortence Mae Davis Willis.

Robert was an over the road truck driver retiring from Service First Logistics in February 2016. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasant Garden.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelia Wyer Willis of the home; his daughter, Tennie Jean Ann Willis Shepherd and husband Frank of Pleasant Garden and his grandson, Robert Franklin Shepherd of Elon.

There will be a gathering of friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service for Robert will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church 4801 Pleasant Garden Rd., Pleasant Garden, NC 27313 conducted by Pastor Tommy Hussey. Military Honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
