Robert Jesse Wood

Robert was a former driver for Keystone Trucking and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Stella Mae Dickerson, brothers, Edward, Avery, and Gene Wood, Henry Presnell and his sisters, Alise, Mildred and Evlyn.

He is survived by his five daughters, Donna Williams and husband Paul Lamb of High Point, Shirley Austin and husband Wayne of Stokesdale, Sandra Mathews and husband Marty of Greensboro, Jessie Johnson and husband Steven of Trinity, Terry Harris and husband Donald of Liberty; three sons, Richard Dickerson and wife Carol of Colfax, Robert Wood of Sophia, Brian Wood and wife Kasey Austin Wood of Pleasant Garden; sister, Sue Davenport and husband Don of Stokesdale.9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Danny Janes. Interment with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Mclemore, Darris Mathews, David Harris, Donald Harris, Jr.,Rick Gordon and Donnie Williams.
