Randleman- Rodney Allen Case, 39, died September 10, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at 2 PM, Sunday at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM tonight at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Rodney was born in Greensboro to James Michael Case Sr. and Linda Joyce Powell Case. He attended Ragsdale High School and worked in the HVAC industry. Rodney attended Level Cross Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a wonderfully attentive, hands-on Dad who loved spending time with his children whether building RC cars and clubhouses or playing video games. He always made people feel important and that he was truly glad to see them. Rodney was a comedian and couldn’t pass up a chance to play a prank or joke on his friends and in the spirit of having fun he looked forward every year to dressing up for Halloween, decorating the yard and spooking the trick-or-treaters. He laughed easily, had a humble spirit and was a true people person extremely generous with all that he had. He enjoyed antique cars and loved outdoor work.
He and his wife of eight years, Misty Goins Case, were meant to be together and have two children, Andrew Benton and Ariel Case. Also surviving are his parents, Mike Case Sr. of Randleman and Joyce Case of Pleasant Garden; paternal grandmother, Jean Seabolt of Atlanta; and brother, Mike (Amy) Case of Staley.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brenner Children’s Hospital, Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157. Online condolences may be made to www.haneslineberryfuneralhomes.com.
