A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2019, at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O’Henry Boulevard.
Mr. Lankford was born July 1, 1934, in Greensboro, NC to the late Rev. Elijah and Jennie Eaton Lankford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Jerry Lankford. He is survived by his wife Rachel Montgomery Lankford of the home; daughters, Sandra L. Page and friend, Randy Hundley, Cynthia L. Davis and husband, Rev. Johnny Davis; sons, Ronald E. Lankford, Jr. and wife, Marsha, Danny Lankford and wife, Nancy, Kelly Lankford; sister, Carol Jean Holder; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and his loyal pets, Libby and Brownie.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street and at other times at the residence.
