Ronald "Snake Man" Lee Key

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Hanes Lineberry at 515 N. Elm St. Greensboro N.C. 27401 at 4pm on Sunday May 17th 2015

Ron was born June 22, 1951, in Arlington, Virginia, to the late Claude and Anna Key. Ron was retired from Cone hospital where he worked for 43 years. He was also a retired member of the Whitsett Vol. Fire dept. He was well known for his work with schools, the Boy Scouts, and the Greensboro Natural Science Center to teach young people about reptiles. For many years, he worked closely with the Greensboro Natural Science Center for their annual Snaketacular event. He was also a member of the North Carolina Herpetological Society. Ron will be missed by many but never forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Claude Key. He is survived by his sons, Eric and Ryan Key, Gary Zeigler; grandchildren, Austin Mink, Emma Key; sister Karla Key and brother, Robert Key.
