Ronald "Ronnie" Marvin Stanley

Ronnie loved to do auto upholstery and was a founding member of Gospel Roads Baptist Church, where he attended until his illness prevented him. He was very dedicated to his faith and would witness and talk about God and what He meant to him not only by words but in the way he lived his life.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia and brothers Dick Stanley, Willard Stanley, and Mickey Stanley.

Ronnie is survived by his loving children, Donna Rives (Chip), James Stanley (Amanda), Carolyn Wrenn (Kenny); his special four-legged companion, Bit; extra son Marvin Batten (Kathy); grandchildren, Jessica Stack, Paige Lineback, Kenny Wrenn, Colby Wrenn, Emmy Marriott, Scottie Wilmoth, Angelia Wilmoth, Billy Wilmoth, Vince Wilmoth; great-grandchildren, Sally Ann Marie Bartlett, Elizabeth Wilmoth; brother Arthur Stanley; sister Patricia Kirksey; and sisters-in-law Kitty Stanley and Debra Pegram.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 12 pm at Gospel Roads Baptist Church, 1001 E Joyner St, Gibsonville, NC 27249. Other times, the family will be at Ronnie’s residence, 4804 Wilburn Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406. Flowers may be delivered to the church or to the family prior to the service.

We would like to thank the hospice staff for such great care, and a very special thank you to his hospice nurse, Kathy, for caring for our dad.
