

Rosemond Lee “Squeaky” Slater, 73, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 11, 2011. She came to know Jesus as her Savior and Friend at an early age and grew in her love and faith in Him throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Trinity Church.
Created by God as a special and unique individual, she brought much joy and laughter into the lives of her family and friends. She received medical training at Duke University and worked for many years as a nurse at Cone Hospital until she retired. She was a long time member of Trinity Church where she served in the library and in various other capacities over the years.
She is survived by her loving family: sisters; Betty Lashley and husband, Amos, Alice Kirkman and husband, Allan, brother, John Slater and wife, Kay and six nieces and nephews; Mike Lashley, Lanie Nichols, Steve Lashley, Holly Lashley, Jeffrey Kirkman and Alyssa Slater.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
