Ruby Perdue Gardner

A funeral service will be held Friday, 12:00 noon, at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel with Pastor John Jarman officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Ruby was born April 25, 1924 in Salem, VA, the daughter of Marion Irvin Hutchens and Hattie Brammer Hutchins.

Ruby was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Louis Park Sunday school class. She was a member of the Myrtle Rebekah Lodge #51 and the Greensboro Social Club. Ruby retired from Thalhimers Department Store. She will be remembered as someone who loved music and enjoyed Ballroom dancing with the Horizon Dance Club. Ruby was an intelligent person who always put her boys first. She enjoyed traveling following retirement.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her sister, Estell Cox.

Surviving are her sons, Barry Perdue and Jeff Perdue (Lisa) and her grandsons, Randy and Alex Perdue, all of Greensboro.

Friends will be received Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
