
Her funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 29, 2013, in the Chapel attached to the Whitestone Masonic and Eastern Star Home located at 700 Holden Rd., in Greensboro. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Lexington, NC.
Mrs. Swink was born June 9, 1918, to the late Joseph and Luella Crumbly, in Georgia. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated Homemaker. Ruby was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She had a very artistic flare and enjoyed making various crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Carl Swink and her son, James Michael Swink.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Betty Smith of Trinity; three grandchildren, Donnie Clonch, Deborah A. Elliott, and Heather Halloway; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Masonic Chapel one hour prior to the funeral from 12:00 until 1:00 pm on the same day as the service.
