Ruth Naomi Hamilton (née Thompson) was born December 7, 1944 in St. Catherine, Jamaica, W. I. Ruth was born again into the family of God on December 25, 1960.
In Jamaica, she attended Maranatha Gospel Hall where she was an active member in the young peoples group, choir, singing in quartet and participating in the things of the Lord.
While growing in her faith she met Wilbert Hamilton, affectionately known as “Bunny.” The two of them courted and were joined in holy matrimony on July 4, 1964. Their 58-year union was blessed with three children: Kayann, David and Peter. Ruth’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.
Ruth loved to welcome her brothers and sisters in the Lord to her home, sharing a meal and the love of the Lord. Many people have been blessed over the years by her gift of hospitality and her desire to always make sure the gospel was shared.
Loving memories of Ruth will be cherished by husband Wilbert A. (Bunny) Hamilton; children, Kayann Saffa (Bernard), David Hamilton (Lindsay) and Peter Hamilton (Stacey); five grandchildren, Devon, Omar, Naomi, Raynard and Malachi as well as life-long friends, dear cousins, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and other loving family members.
